EGI Acquisition, LLC (now renamed “Enesco, LLC”), an affiliate of Tinicum Capital Partners II, L.P., a private investment partnership, purchased certain of the assets of Enesco Group, Inc. and assumed certain liabilities on February 15, 2007. This purchase and assumption was accomplished through a bankruptcy court order as part of Enesco Group, Inc.'s Chapter 11 bankruptcy case. As of July 28, 2008, Enesco Group, Inc., which is not affiliated with Enesco, LLC, converted to a Chapter 7 proceeding and will liquidate any remaining assets.

In addition to Enesco’s in house counsel, legal services are provided by Vedder Price P.C. in the U.S. International legal services are provided by Dundas & Wilson, LLP and Allens Arthur Robinson, among others.
